Heard Museum West
Opened on June 24, 2006, in the City of Surprise, the Heard Museum West became the third community location of the world famous Heard Museum features traditional and contemporary exhibits of American Indian art.
The new facility also features a classroom for children's hands-on activities, tours and classes, and adult programs and continuing education classes. Heard Museum West will also include a changing gallery space. A museum Shop selling authentic artwork purchased directly from American Indian artists as well as outdoor spaces for gatherings, festivals, demonstrations, outdoor sculpture and native plantings are also on location. Heard Museum West is located near the intersection of Paradise Lane and Civic Center Drive at the City Center in Surprise.
