Orpheum Theatre - Phoenix
The magnificent Orpheum Theatre, located in the heart of downtown Phoenix, is a multi-purpose cultural facility. Originally built in 1929, this historic theater was restored by the Orpheum Foundation and the City of Phoenix and reopened in January 1997. The Orpheum Theatre is a 1,364-seat, technically modern but architecturally and historically preserved venue for performing arts, community and civic events and visitor and convention use. In addition to touring productions, the Orpheum is home to Theater League and Southwest Arts and Entertainment, and is also used by other local and regional professional production and performance companies, and non-profit performing arts groups. The Orpheum Theatre is also a premiere setting for jazz concerts, one-man comedy shows and much more.
