A national forest is the studio of Lynn Boggess. Leslie Levy Fine Art in Scottsdale, Arizona invites the public to view the newest paintings by this artist during his one man exhibition, Winter Wonderland. Collectors admire the energy and freshness of Lynn Boggess' heavily textured landscapes. In his unique paintings, the artist creates 'the feeling that you get when you're right there in nature'. Boggess' realistic paintings of the heavily wooded area where he lives in West Virginia often cause the viewer to comment 'I can smell the leaves' or 'I can feel the mist'. The artist creates his paintings in all kinds of weather, using a makeshift shelter to protect him from the elements. Boggess has developed a way to create a three dimensional quality to his work, using a cement trowel as his paintbrush. The large, almost photographic paintings create an atmosphere that allows the viewer to actually experience the area where the artist stood. Opening Reception: Thursday, February 28th from 7:00pm-9:00pm.
