    A guided desert nature walk at Taliesin West allows you to explore rugged desert trails on the site, and experience the beauty Wright discovered 70 years ago. You will explore the beautiful foothills of the McDowell Mountains, with knowledgeable guides providing an in-depth, and entertaining explanation about the native materials found on the site. See firsthand the desert vegetation, and landforms that were translated into design elements by Wright. Evidence of desert wildlife (javelina, quail, roadrunner and coyote to name a few) often highlight the walk. Important Information: This Desert Walk Tour takes place daily, weather permitting. Hiking boots are strongly recommended; no open-toe or open-heel shoes allowed.
