Add Review/CommentDavid Wilson, the brilliant founder of the eccentric Museum of Jurassic Technology, tells the story behind his storefront museum in Culver City, California, which is a mecca for artworld insiders-and anyone with a sense of humor and curiosity. Exhibitions span an offbeat range of subjects, such as Lives of Perfect Creatures: Dogs of the Soviet Space Program. The museum leaves you wondering about the fine line between fact and fiction and the weirdnesses of museology. As Carol Kino recently wrote in The New York Times, 'Some characterize Mr. Wilson as an artist and the museum as an elaborate conceptual artwork, but he strenuously rejects that notion. 'We're allergic to the A-word here,' he said. 'Art doesn't seem to have much bearing on what we do. It can be a limitation on a person.'' Event Location: Stage 2 Theater (the small theater inside the Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts)
