Visit the far off land of Camelot where, in days of old, knights were bold and honor and chivalry reigned. But treachery threatens this most idyllic, perfect spot when a noble king and a gallant knight fall in love with the same woman. This legendary Lerner and Loewe masterpiece brings to life the Arthurian legend about the love between Guinevere and Lancelot that turned King Arthur's Round Table into a love triangle. Its majestic and captivating score, which includes 'If Ever I Would Leave You', 'How to Handle a Woman' and the wonderful title song will make you soar with the belief that 'Once There Was A Spot, For One Brief Shining Moment, That Was Known as Camelot.'

I was very impressed Camelot at Desert Stages Theatre! The Arthur and Guinevere were both good actors and had good chemistry, The Pellinore was very funny, Mordred was a very good evil person, and the little boy who sang the song Guinevere had a beautiful voice. The Music Direction and Choregraphy were good, and the costumes were pretty. The only two problems I had with the show were it was very long and was slow at some points and the actors were singing along to a CD. I would suggest you go see it! Collapse

I have to disagree with the last review because I thought the King was wonderful; he had so much spirit, which is key to developing a character's personality. The set also impressed me, especially the paintings in the corners. Overall, it seemed like everyone put their hearts into what they were doing. Just a random note: Mordred had an epically awesome evil laugh! Collapse
