One of the most highly anticipated events of 2008, West Valley Art Museum's 'Literary Feasts' with a 'literature-art-cuisine' program will feature author Harriet Scott Chessman, author of Lydia Cassatt Reading the Morning Paper, an emotionally moving tableau of the short life of Mary's sister Lydia, subject of five of the artist's portraits. The event begins with a private reception at the Museum where guests will meet the author and have books signed while enjoying music and refreshments. Guests will then proceed to an elegant lunch or dinner feast specially prepared in relation to the featured book.
