Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony and Toy Drive

Open to the public, this annual event, which is part of Arizona Broadway Theatre's (ABT) on-going philanthropic endeavors, kicks-off the holiday season. Students and faculty from Peoria Unified School District have been invited to participate in this fun event. Ornaments designed by K-8th grade students and available for purchase through ABT's Box office will decorate the 18' high Christmas tree, the centerpiece of the lobby. Representative Marines, on behalf of the Toys For Tots Foundation, will be present during the toy drive and decorating festivities. Art students from the Peoria Arts Institute on the Campus of Foothills Elementary School have designed artwork for ABT's 2007 holiday cards. The original artwork will be on exhibit at ABT. Cards can be purchased through ABT's Box Office. During intermission the winners of the artwork selected for the holiday cards will be announced. Performances by the Peoria Arts Institute's Elite choir (who will sing Christmas carols) and the dance team will take place in ABT's lobby prior to the tree lighting ceremony. Helpful Information: $5.00 off ABT's regular ticket prices will be extended to anyone that brings a new, unwrapped toy to the theatre specifically for the Toys For Tots campaign. The toy drive runs through Wednesdsay, December 19.
