Returning for a 3rd smash year, The Christmas Schooner is inspired by true events and tells the heart warming story of Peter Stossel, a 19th-century schooner captain who is intent on sailing treacherous waters to bring Christmas trees from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to the German immigrants in Chicago.

    I saw this show 2 years ago and it was amazing! The music is beautiful and the story is based upon factual events. My husbands family is from the Chicago area so he knew about the Christmas Tree... Expand

    I saw this show 2 years ago and it was amazing! The music is beautiful and the story is based upon factual events. My husbands family is from the Chicago area so he knew about the Christmas Tree ships, but I hadn't ever heard of them. And to think that's how we got the tradition of the Christmas Tree! From what I hear this years show is going to be even more spectacular, with a real ship on stage and a huge cast. I definitely recommend going to see it and taking the entire family!!! Collapse
