Bound by family honor yet secretly sworn to another, Lucia is forced to marry a man she does not love. With the signing of the marriage contract, her tragic fate is sealed. Set in 17th century Scotland against the atmospheric Lammermoor Castle love and deceit conspire to lead Lucia towards insanity. With Tracy Dahl & Laura Whalen alternating performances as 'Lucia.'     Support the AZ Opera Company! My husband and I enjoyed the AZ Opera production of Rigoletto on Thursday night. We were especially impressed by the Joll, Oropesa and Thomas. The costuming, staging and orchestra were also noteworthy. We love the MET, and are happy that the Land of AZ is showing signs of promise. I attended La Gioconda at the MET a few weeks ago ... I had forgotten how fantastic the acoustics are at the MET. Something is still missing at Phoenix Symphony Hall. All technical problems should have been resolved by now. Our local and guest artists deserve the best! ENJOY! Collapse
