Lessons In Love
March 10-March 11, 2007
Wit, realism, sexiness and romance … superb black comedy … Byron is a supreme storyteller and Frost does him proud - spell-binding the audience as he takes them on the young Juan's voyage of discovery around Europe. It is a very pleasurable journey indeed.

My husband and I were visiting Az.,and caught A CHRISTMAS STORY, the second night playing. It was well worth going! The young actors did extremely well in their character roles. It was as if we were really "there", in their setting. Being from Indiana, we felt as if we were 'right-at-home'. We thought Ralphie was outstanding! His facial expressions, as well as his lines, were so real.....he was "into" his character 100%! Also, the props were simple, but great!----and I understand, the leg lamp is so hard to come by! Just a good atmosphere to get one into the Christmas Spirit! Collapse

My husband and I attended the matinee on Saturday along with our ten year old grand son and my parents. All of us enjoyed the play greatly. The young actors held our attention throughout the play and our grandson is still reflecting on scenes that he enjoyed. I believe all of the young actors took their parts very serious and did and excellent job. We all were extremely impressed with Justin and his awesome ability to perform two different roles,he was very entertaining. Levi(Ralphie @ 9) was also very refreshing and his facial expressions throughout the play added to his effective command of his role. We all believe that we will see these young men in many more roles to come. Collapse

I have never seen such a show, put on so well by a Youth Theatre as this one. A Christmas Story, directed by Bobby Sample is a great way to kick off the Holiday season. With a wonderful (and please let me emphasize their talent) cast, including AriZoni award winning actor Justin; playing the Dad, and Older Ralphie. They also have a deliciously decorated set full of the same props that adorned the classic movie. IF, i may say so myself, TheaterWorks has outdone themselves with this work or art, better than the movie. With a truth felt through out these young actors are able to jump between highly serious scenes to of course, the hilarious side-splitting ones. If you are a fan of the movie, please come and see it, if you have never seen the movie you are in for a treat. I would like to point out one star that shines very brightly onstage, and that would be Emily, who does a great job portraying a boy onstage. Please, this show is worth every inch of the valley's recognition. Collapse

This show is adorable! The cast is excellent, the costumes and funny scenes are memorable. I was laughing along with the rest of the audience at the hilarious look back at Ralphie's childhood days, the bullies, the whacked Santa, and Ralphie's burning desire for a certain Christmas present. Don't miss out on this great seasonal show. :) Collapse

Theater Works is generally known for their musicals, but this edgy production of a classic script not only highlights the power of the words, but features four electrifying performances. The sparks fly as the actors battle each other in every sense of the word. This show is possibly the best drama of the season. Don't miss it! Collapse
