    'Borneo, Beads and Beyond!' a lecture by Sindi Schloss. Join us as Sindi recounts tales of her recent trip to Borneo. In Borneo, people value beads and beadwork not only as heirlooms, protection and social markers, but as possessors of a vital force which assists in shamanic ceremonies. Always entertaining and visual, Sindi will provide a hands-on show and tell. Sindi Schloss is President of her own firm, International Gemological Services. She is a member of The Bead Museum Board of Directors and is Chair of the Exhibitions Committee.
