Recorders, which were first used in Europe, have been popular instruments for a thousand years. They have been admired in modern times because they are relatively easy to play. Director Linda Rising says that the group is made up of Renaissance wannabes who gather to play and sing just for fun. They perform several times a year. The group, dressed in costume, will provide a holiday concert featuring music from the 1400's through the early 1600's.
