Lecture: Renowned French Rock Art Scholar

Add Review/CommentDedicated to the study and preservation of ancient rock art sites, the Deer Valley Rock Art Center is proud to announce a lecture and book signing with one of the foremost authorities on European cave art, the distinguished French prehistorian and archaeologist Dr. Jean Clottes. Dr. Clottes has worked for the French Ministry of Culture and researched many of the spectacular painted caves in France. On October 22 from 4:00pm-6:00pm, Dr. Clottes will participate in a book signing at the Deer Valley Rock Art Center, which will showcase recent publications on the French site of Cosquer Cave and other rock art sites from around the world. Additionally, on October 24 at 7:30pm, Dr. Clottes will speak at ASU's Great Hall on the relatively recent discovery of and first in-depth research on Cosquer, one of the most fascinating rock art sites in the world.
