This event is great for the whole family. There are so many different dancers, from little tiny kids to seniors. They come from all over the U.S. and Canada. And when you're tired of watching the dancing, you can visit the museum. My daughter loves the exhibits for kids. There's also frybread, and the great cafe in the courtyard. It's a great way to spend a day! Collapse

The weather was perfect for the event and the dancers were unbelivable. For years my husband and I have attended the event, watching some of the most spellbinding and graceful athletes perform in spectacular outfits to haunting music. Their ability to dance with hoops at all ages is inspiring. We have watched several young dancers grow over the years into champions known throughout the world...Kevin Duncan and Nakotah LaRance are super stars in the field. Eli Manning, Tiger Woods, and Steve Nash are great but these dancers from all over the world are Champions too. We could not stay all day but assumed the winners would be written up in the paper the next day. Wrong! Nothing was in The Republic Monday or Tuesday. What a disappointment. Hopefully, when this world event happens next year the will be better coverage (or at least some). Collapse

Event Name: Heard Museum Guild Library Book Sale & Treasure Market
"They can't count"
Review posted by: Alan Singletary from Tuscon, Az, Jan 27, 2008
There were not 30,000 books there. At best they had 15,000. And the prices were high, mostly, but there are a few good bargains.
