Review/Comment
Featuring Dwayne Hartford, Pain is not the 18th century Anglo-American revolutionary, but an American everyman for the 21st century. He speaks to us of his own pain as he draws his audience into his last-ditch plea for empathy and enlightenment. Through Thom Pain, writer Will Eno beguilingly muses on childhood, yearning, disappointment and loss, cataloguing the eternal agonies and occasional joys of the human condition without ever losing sight of the peculiar, alienated brittleness of our own times. For anyone who has ever loved and lost, or never loved and lost anyway. Whatever. Helpful Information: Please note this play contains mature themes and adult language. Photo Credit: Wes Johnson

We saw the Friday night 26th performance - Outstanding! Dwayne Hartford gave an amazing performance. It seems that our Arizona audiences rarely show great enthusiasm at the end of most performances -- even terrific ones like this production of Thom Pain. We were very impressed by this well done, thought provoking play. Collapse
