The Miracle Worker tells the story of Helen Keller, a girl who--blind, deaf, and mute since infancy--has become frustrated and violent. In desperation, her parents seek help and along comes 'half-blind Yankee schoolgirl'' Annie Sullivan. Through persistence and love, and sheer stubbornness, Annie attempts to break through Helen's walls of silence and darkness and teach her to communicate. A classic for the ages. Fresh young talent Rachel Brown captures Helen's frustration and intelligence.

So,my husband & I get these tickets from some friends. They didn't want to go because the last show they went to wasn't very good & they couldn't hear the actors.I loved the movie so how bad could it be?Not only was it not bad, I think it was better than the movie! The girl playing Helen was completely convincing(We found out later that she is partially blind,so no wonder!)and the woman playing Annie was increadible!I thought she had to be from Ireland her accent was so good, but we met her afterward & it's fake! She was funny and tough & at the end she even had my husband crying(He says something was in his eye, yeah right!)I don't remember Anne Bancroft doing an accent, did she?Anyway, this performance was way better and we could hear fine.I told our friends afterwards & we're all going to see it again together.Definitely go & bring lots of friends.I can't believe how many empty seats there were for a show this good.Oh & the dog! They got him from a place that trains them for the handicaped Collapse
