A swingin' tribute to Oscar Peterson will feature three of the valley's finest musicians for an evening of great jazz and swing dancing. Mark Decozio will be on piano, Dwight Kilian on bass and Dom Moio on drums (see bios below). Swing '37 is an ongoing Thursday night swing event that features a swing dance lesson and DJ with live music once a month. We just added a full soda bar with a 1950's juke joint feel, complete with root beer floats, flavored cokes, and rare premium bottled sodas. We have the feel of the nightclub for all ages and a new outlet for teens through senior citizens that want to go out and have a good time, meet people, and dance without drinking alcohol. Mark Decozio - Piano. Playing an Oscar Peterson style with finesse. Mark was a member of legendary guitarist Pat Martino's band. Since moving to the Phoenix area from Philadelphia in September, 1999, Mr. Decozio has been a house pianist at the Phoenician Resort and is planning the release of his first CD in the spring of '05. Dwight Killian - Bass. A young phenom bass player that is regarded one of the best in Arizona and top ranked in the Country. He tours and performs locally with his band Bass Pursuit as well as being the bassist for Dennis Rowland's band. He will keep the dancers in the pocket all night long. Dom Moio - Drums. Renown for his musicianship, his artistry with wire brushes, and his highly effective teaching methods, Dom Moio is admired by musicians and critics alike. Moio played with jazz luminaries such as Mose Allison, Herb Ellis, Ahmad Jamal and Clark Terry.
