    In 1902, Giuseppe Verdi founded a retirement home for Italian singers and musicians who 'were less fortunate in life than I and who were not endowed with the gift of thrift.' In this documentary, Swiss director Daniel Schmid visits with its residents as they reminisce about their fantastic lives on stage.
