Add Review/CommentOften cited as the ideal fashion for the future, the one-piece garment originated as the quintessential work and flight uniform. While consistently a part of fashion, it remains on the edge of and maintains a fluid elusiveness of purpose and place.
This exhibition explores the history of the jumpsuit and its broad range of uses and widely varying interpretations from space, flight and work wear to haute couture variations by couturiers such as Rudi Gernreich, Yves Saint Laurent, Geoffrey Beene, Vivienne Westwood, Yojhi Yammamoto among others.-
