Add Review/CommentThe Bead Museum is opening its doors every Sunday to encourage people to experience this unique collection of beads and adornment from around the world. The Bead Museum has the broadest collection of beads in North America. It is truly a unique institution as no other museum dedicated to beads has comparable collections, exhibitions, programming, library and store. Exhibitions explore the symbolism found in adornment in various cultures such as Zulu, Turkish, Native American, tribal Nagaland and more. As one of the oldest art forms, beads are found in every culture. The oldest bead on display is 15,000 years old. Visitors will also find contemporary art beads by glass and polymer clay artists.
