during these rough economic times, this show proved to be a very entertaining escape... the set was amazing and really set the mood for all the swashbuckling... as did the costumes, which made you feel like they were real pirates... i also love these types of musicals that have fun, uplifting and catchy songs... i'm still singing "ship shape, ship shape" in my head during the day... lil Jim Hawkins was spot on as was long jjohn silver... you forgot you were watching young actors up there... another great job by VYT... i'll see it aagain and am trying to get my brothers kids to go with me... any young boy or girl that likes PIRATES or likes to ride Pirates of the Carribean at Disney land will love this... I love this play and this was an excellent production, as good as the Broadway version I have seen in the past. I have seen it twice already and may go back again for the last day! I was either fighting tears or had chills running up my arms with many of the songs, fantastic job for such a young group of people. I go to lots of theatre and Valley Youth Theatre does a great job, specifically Cats and Beauty and the Beast and now Aida meet any Broadway production. Collapse

Amazing Voices from not only the leads but the entire cast. I knew it was going to be an amazing show by the end of "Every story is a love story"(opening number). DROP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND GO SEE THIS SHOW! By the end i forgot this was a youth theater, a broadway quality show for only about 20$ per ticket Why wouldn't you go? Collapse

I have seen Aida performed by Valley Youth Theatre at the Herberger twice. I am seriously thinking about going again this weekend! The show is incredible. After a while you feel as though you are watching seasoned adults. The entire cast (as well as the costumes) absolutely sparkle. This is not really a show for kids, more PG 13. Don't miss this show, it closes this weekend! Collapse

Wow, what a performance! I was drawn in from the beginning and didn't want it to end. It was perfectly presented. The singing of all the 5 or 6 primary characters was outstanding. The sets and costumes were great. This was perfectly cast and very well done. I want to go see it again! This is one of the more enjoyable theater performances I've been to (and I have season tickets to Broadway Across America). Collapse

I saw Valley Youth Theatre's (VYT's) production of Cinderella last Friday and it was magical! Directed by Bobb COOPER who is the artistic producing director at VYT. He beautiful illustrates Cinderella on stage, I have never been disapointed with any of his productions. Wonderfull choreograghy especially in the ballroom scene. Fantastic Music Direction, with a great orchestra! The sets and costumes are Fabulous! Starring in the role of Cinderella is Channing. Opposite her as the prince is Dallas. The two stepsisters and stepmother are hilarious! Stephanie plays the prince's mother with a beautiful voice and grace. Shawn as the herald has a terrific voice! As the fairy godmother is Kelly who does a wonderful job in her role, however, I was dissapointed in her magic it was... magical! I was also dissapointed with the horses, they looked like they were from a carousel! The Ensemble does a terricfic job. A Magical Production, go see it if you get a chance Collapse
