An Irish Affair - Sara Newton
May 2, 2008
Sara Newton brings her unique paintings of acrylic, mixed media, and watercolors. Ms.Newton has exhibited her art primarily in the Northwest. She has been represented by Potlatch Gallery in Poulsbo Washington and Native Gallery in Seattle. This exhibition includes the Rock series, large abstract work and traditional watercolors.'My current work is an out growth of the larger rock series. I'm still playing with space and working with the golden ratio.' After loosing the vision in her left eye, the artist found that the larger canvas was a better fit to her new visual experience. 'I'm finding a new way to work, with a larger format, opacity and more structure.' Helpful Information: Dinner will be provided by Chef Frank Hand with a wonderful herbed lamb roast, with new potatoes, vegetable barley soup and pound cake with berries and cream.

"What A Great Night!"

Super music with an Irish flair. Great beer of many sorts. And The Irish Center is beautiful. Perfect weather helped too. I'm putting this on my calendar for next year. Major fun!
